Jason Hayman spent 60 hours chained to a kennel during the worst of the cold Cape winter – all in the hopes of raising funds for animal welfare in Kalbaskraal.
Kalbaskraal, South Africa (24 July 2023) – Jason Hayman has a passion for supporting animals. He has taken up the cause in Kalbaskraal, located between Cape Town and Malmesbury; providing animal welfare and support to the families there.
As a dedicated advocate for animal welfare, Jason spent 60 hours chained to a kennel in the dead of winter, to raise much-needed funding for the Chocolate Angels Animal Rescue, an organisation he runs in Kalbaskraal. He also hoped to raise awareness about being a good pet owner and making sure animals had the proper shelter and protection during the harsh, wet winters.
The funds raised through Jason’s courageous act directly benefitted Chocolate’s Angels and the work being done for animals in need. However, the organisation could always use a helping hand. Jason makes sure every animal he encounters, is treated with love and care.
The event helped Jason raise over R16,000 and the organisation received a boost in dog food donations too! His great effort was definitely rewarded.
There are several ways to lend a helping hand to Jason and the animals of Kalbaskraal.
- Donate: Your generous donations will enable Chocolate’s Angels to provide essential care and resources to animals in distress. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant impact.
- Spread Awareness: Share Jason’s story and the purpose behind his selfless act on social media, within your community, and among friends and family. Help us raise awareness about the challenges animals face during winter and the importance of responsible pet ownership.
- Volunteer: Consider volunteering your time and skills at Chocolate’s Angels or other local animal welfare organisations. Your involvement can directly contribute to improving the lives of animals in need.
- Support Animal-Friendly Policies: Advocate for stronger animal protection laws and regulations in your community. Encourage others to take part in creating a safer, more compassionate environment for all living beings.
