Groceries are going nude to save the planet. Cape Town is getting its first plastic-free grocery shop where you can BYO-containers.

Plastic-free grocery store, offering non-GMO, healthy and affordable wholefoods and earth-friendly body and home products – all sold by weight.
According to the store only 17% of plastic is recycled and the rest ends up in our oceans and landfills. The store will have a BYO (bring your own) policy in terms of how to package your purchases. As you can see from the image above, material bags will be the lightest and easiest packaging option to carry to and from the shop.
The plastic-free shop will be opening this November and will be on 5 Constitution Street in the City of Cape Town.
