Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan has been involved in a second PSA for WildAid but this time he is working to protect the endangered Pangolin.

Jackie Chan is a big spokesperson for WildAid and all their campaigns. A little while ago we did a throwback post about his 2014 Rhino poaching PSA. The PSA was aired in multiple Asian countries including China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand. This is due to those countries having a high demand for Rhino Horn.

Jackie Chan was also featured in a secondary PSA for WildAid, this time working to protect Pangolins. The PSA has been announced as a finalist for the Shorty Awards.

“Good news! We’ve been selected as a finalist in the Shorty Awards for our Kung Fu Pangolin PSA. Many thanks to Jackie Chan!”

“Pangolins are the most trafficked wild mammal in the world. When threatened, they roll up into a little ball, making them extremely vulnerable to poachers. They’re so rampantly poached that all eight species are on the brink of extinction. That’s why we need everyone to speak up and refuse any products containing pangolin.” WildAid

WildAid’s mission is to end the illegal wildlife trade in our lifetimes by reducing demand through public awareness campaigns and providing comprehensive marine protection.

“When the buying stops, the killing can too!”
