Tidy Towns strikes again with a fresh cleanup, inviting the community to pitch in and keep the city looking its best.
Amanzimtoti, South Africa (22 September 2025) – Tidy Towns is back in action, this time transforming parts of Amanzimtoti. The team recently shared an update on their latest project, highlighting how overgrown areas and neglected walkways have been cleared and revitalised. Making spaces accessible and welcoming again.
Volunteers and local partners joined forces to cut back overgrown trees and clean the main passageways, restoring walking paths. This effort opens up public areas for everyone to enjoy and highlights the positive impact of community-driven initiatives.
Support from local sponsors and organisations was key to the project’s success. K&A Tree Feller and McKaylands Transport played a significant role on the ground, helping Tidy Towns bring their vision to life.
As much as there is momentum from their side, the initiative also continues to rely on donations from the community. Contributions help to sustain the programme and expand future clean-up efforts.
Tidy Towns encourages residents to get involved, whether through volunteering or donating at the designated pay stations. If you want to skip the lines, EFT donations are also accepted, with details shared here.
The streets of Amanzimtoti are now cleaner, and Tidy Towns continues to show what can be achieved when community support comes together.
