Food scientist and cookbook author Astrid Field shares an easy four-ingredient cheesecake treat perfect for any occasion.

South Africa (27 January 2026) – Food scientist, recipe developer, cookbook author, and dessert enthusiast Astrid Field has shared a simple South African twist on a classic treat, a cheesecake that’s both easy to make and irresistibly tasty.

Using just four ingredients: greek yoghurt, Tennis biscuits, caramel Treat, and crumbled Peppermint Crisp, this dessert layers flavour in every bite.

The method is straightforward: spoon the yoghurt into a serving dish, press the Tennis biscuits on top, add a layer of caramel, and refrigerate for at least six hours or overnight. Just before serving, sprinkle over the crumbled Peppermint Crisp for a sweet, crunchy finish.

As the dessert chills, the biscuits soften and the yoghurt thickens, creating a creamy, cheesecake-like texture that’s perfect for sharing.

Whether you’re an experienced baker or just looking for an easy to make dessert, this South African-inspired cheesecake is sure to become a favourite.
