Joel McHale 7de Laan

An international comedy series on Netflix has found a short clip of 7de Laan and shared it with the world.

The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale is an American comedy web television series hosted by Joel McHale on Netflix. The first season consists of thirteen episodes, which are released weekly.

The show debuted on February 18, 2018, and the first episode featured a South African favourite… 7de Laan.

“The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale takes “a sharp, absurdist look at pop culture and news from across the globe, in a fast distillation of everything people are talking about that week. It will feature celebrity guests, comedy sketches, and, of course, video clips from TV, sports, politics, celebrity culture, and every nook and cranny of the internet.”

In the 7de Laan episode, the Joel McHale team found a short snippet from the South African series where the one character greets the other character by saying ‘Hello Kind’ which translates to ‘Hello child’.

It might not sound funny at first, but once you’ve watched the clip, and understand language differences… you’ll realise why it would seem funny to the rest of the world.

“Did you know that they make ridiculous television in other parts of the world… its true.

And South Africa never disappoints.

Just take their premiere soap-opera 7de Laan, this show delivers drama, intrigue and thanks to the Afrikaans language, questionable pronounce.”

The show apparently features reoccurring clips from series in foreign countries, so there is a good possibility we will see more of South Africa’s funny side in the future.
