Shame… the T-Rex made everyone laugh but also needed help reaching the stuff that was too far away (short arm problem).
Western Cape, South Africa (6 May 2020) – A Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex) went shopping in Cape Town, but obviously needed help getting stuff that was too far away (the short arm problem).
The T-Rex inflatable costume has been seen doing mundane daily things (like taking out the garbage or walking the dogs) all over the world but always bringing a smile to everyone around the Jurassic creature so it’s great to see the costume make an appearance in South Africa.
The anonymous shopper in a T-Rex suit was spotted in the Plumstead PnP and apparently kept to all the social distancing rules but had all the other shoppers in hysterics.
The PnP Plumstead’s social media has been trending after the picture was posted this afternoon, with users dubbing the creature as the “Coronasaurous”.
Kate Noir posted: “Would’ve loved to have seen Coronasaurus try to take items off the shelves with those tiny arms.”
Marion Forster said: “Makes a change to see a happy picture.”
Angela Barry commented: “Made shopping such an event!”
South Africans have a way of getting through the toughest times, usually with a side dish of humour, and a T-Rex on a shopping might be just the thing you needed to see today!
