Must Watch: Little kid goes viral for just wanting to flipping braai!

I just want to braai!?! What don’t you understand?

A little kid has gone viral after his mom captured him in a hysterical rant for just wanting to braai!

The word braai (pronounced “bry”, rhyming with the word “cry”; plural braais) is Afrikaans for “barbecue” or “roast” and is a social custom in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. It originated with the Afrikaner people, but has since been adopted by South Africans of many ethnic backgrounds.

Bianca Myburgh posted the video asking her son what was wrong with him and why he was crying.

Her son answers the question but saying: “Ek wil braai…. kan jy nie verstaan nie, ek will net braai” which is loosely translated to: “I want to barbecue, what don’t you understand, I just want to barbecue.”

It’s the end of the video that really takes the cake as he screams in agony at the fact that he wont be able to braai (for some reason).

She never expected the video to garnish hundreds of thousands of views in just the short time it has been live but after watching it, we can all relate to the little kid. I mean as South Africans we all want to braai, ALL THE TIME.

    1. Good point! Only noticed it when you pointed it out. The kid had no seatbelt, but its possible someone in the back seat filmed it and not the mom? But who knows.
