Discovery Insurance asked a guy to sketch his wife’s accident, he went one step further and made a brilliant (and funny) video instead.
Tim B was recently asked by Discovery South Africa to sketch how his wife’s bumper was damaged. He found the request quite funny, and decided to create a video instead.
“Hey @Discovery_SA – I was asked to draw a sketch of how my wife’s bumper was damaged. It occurred to me that this is quite an old school way to process a claim, so I went one better and made a video, but your mail server blocked my message! So here it is. Thanks!”
But Tim wasn’t bashing their service, he just thought ” sketching” what had happened was a really old school way to deal with a claim in 2018.
“Their service has always been excellent – hope my tweet doesnt come across as anything negative – just did it for a laugh and some likes!”
Since posting the video, social media users have also seen the funny side.
Scribbly G replied: “Dude, the DeLorean is parked right there! Go back in time to stop the accident from happening!”
Travis Kruger retweeted: “This is brilliant!”
Timothy Solomon added: “Lucky they had those security cams!”
Tim was also interviewed by Bruce Whitfield after the story started trending and the CEO of Discovery Insure confirmed on the show (after having a laugh about the video) that the claim will definitely be paid.
