Suzelle DIY has some pretty clever DIY hacks and tricks to share, but three years ago she shared a video that is even more helpful today because… load shedding!

Cape Town, South Africa (22 March 2019) – Load shedding is a hot topic at the moment as the lights get switched off and back on, daily again.

But Suzelle DIY is here to give us great (and funny) load shedding tips.

Suzelle, a 30-something known for her chic “updo”, retro fashion sense, and sweet but dim onscreen persona, has become an internet celebrity thanks to her bizarre but strangely effective DIY projects. Despite an unsatisfying social life, an upbeat “can do” attitude keeps Suzelle smiling in the face of many challenges, as indicated in her signature catchphrase, “Because anybody can”.

Among the bizarre DIY tips, Suzelle has shared with her fans are “How to Iron Without an Iron”, “How to Make a Braai Pie,” “How to Make a Christmas Tree”, “How to Get Fluff Off Your Jersey”, and “How to Make a Load Shedding Survival Kit”.

The load shedding video is already three years old but is still so relevant!

Plus with it being school holidays, it may be helpful to keep the kids busy too. Her DIY videos are always mixed with a good sense of humour and some constructive tips.

We are so happy we found this video again.

“Don’t you hate it when the power goes out? Here, my creative tips & tricks for making the ultimate loadshedding survival kit. There’s it, now anybody can be prepared for loadshedding.”

We think the tip about the milk cartons is very bright, recycling and lighting up life all in one easy DIY. Oh and also the fantastic idea for the cellphone charger… what??? It is pretty much genius!

Take a look at some of the tips and tricks below.
