In a moment that resonated with us all, Marise Pollard proved that no matter your age or status, Mom is always the first person you call when things get tough.

Pretoria, South Africa (05 March 2026) – Whether six, 20 or well over your 30s, there’s nothing like a mother’s love to help you through the difficult days. Even Marise Pollard agrees.

Yesterday, the Springbok wife shared a sweet video post on her social media showing her mother enthusiastically running through her home gate after she had messaged her about not feeling well at 5am.

“Messaged my mom this morning in tears that I had a horrible night and woke up sick. She ran to my house (her car is in for service),” Marise wrote on the post.

Beyond showing up to be by her bedside and make her soup, she did what every sick mom with young babas would appreciate – took care of the kids!

“She took the kids, and I went back to bed. Some people pray for a village, grateful that mine lives 500m away,” a grateful Marise said.

Aah man, regardless of where life takes you, you’ll always be your mother’s child, and this post just goes to show what a blessing that is. And the online community agrees, with many of Marise’s followers responding with sweet messages and unanimous praise for loving moms.

“Thank you for sharing this with so much gratefulness. So many people live close to family and choose to complain and not pick at their parents every day. We live in Europe, and I would do ANYTHING some days to have this,” shared chrizane_g.

“This makes me so emotional, mothers are just so amazing,” commented karishma_ramdev.

“Such an underrated Blessing,” wrote shaylalathiff.

It was a beautiful, unfiltered reminder that while the world sees a glamorous rugby wife, Marise is still a daughter who just needs her mom sometimes.
