Bouwer Bosch and Themba-Robin are back with another hilarious skit for South Africans – The new Minister of Electricity visits a fed-up Joburger to discuss when the power will be back.
Johannesburg, South Africa (01 March 2023) – South African creatives, actors and comedians are helping us laugh through some of the toughest times we have faced in the last decade. Bouwer Bosch and Themba-Robin have been on a roll lately, putting out all kinds of funny content.
Themba-Robin Behrens believes that a positive outlook towards life in South Africa is all you need to get through the tough stuff. And by golly do we have some tough stuff! However, as South Africans, we have this amazing skill that allows us to laugh when anyone else would be crying.
Previously, Themba-Robin teamed up with fellow creative Bouwer Bosch to make a laugh-out-loud video showcasing all the best parts of life in South Africa, for the tourists. The video went viral and South Africans loved it!
Both guys specialise in hilarious spoof-style comedy; Bouwer is one of the brains behind the recent Lekkerslaap advert that had South Africans in hysterics. His work also focuses on using humour to address the things South Africans face in day-to-day life.
This new video was inspired by the recent spat of service delivery failures where many neighbourhoods have been plunged into darkness, for weeks on end. The frustration in the country is evident, with communities now protesting the local municipalities and asking them to be better, to do better or to find the door.
Take a look below, we hope this adds a smile to your day.
