It might be time for this ‘stop-go’ coordinator to trade roads for stages! With the kind of energy that could turn any motorists’ frown upside down, Chapman’s Peak got to enjoy its own joy-filled roadshow:

Chapman’s Peak, South Africa (06 September 2024) — We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: traffic co-ordinators in South Africa are just built different. From traffic officers giving the Eastern Cape demure dance moves to kickstart their days to the ‘stop-go’ legend we’re about to fill you in on—South Africa knows a thing or two about turning ‘let’s get this show on the road’ into a very literal expression.

Recently on Chapman’s Peak, motorists were met with someone who might just be the happiest person to ever tell cars to stop and go, perhaps in history.

With the kind of moves that would stop traffic even if there weren’t any roadworks on display, the ‘stop-go’ man has stolen the internet’s attention for all the right reasons.

Shared by TikTok user Fazlie, the video has soared to over 700,000 views with many sharing that it gave them the extra dose of joy they needed, and others adding that he certainly deserves a raise.
