Thuli Madonsela has won many international awards but she can now also hang a Nandos flame-grilled endorsement next to all her other accolades.
The South African fast-food restaurant started trending yesterday after honouring South Africa’s outgoing Public Protector Thuli Madonsela, with her very own flame-grilled inspired acknowledgment.
Referring to Madonsela’s bravery and courage, the advert says “Always the griller. Never the chicken” and “Thuli, your courage fired up South Africa.”
They also tagged Thuli Madonsela on Twitter saying “From one fiery chick to another.”
Nando’s is well-known and particularly talented at putting tongue-in-cheek ads together, that are not only topical but also hilarious.
Alongside Advocate Madonsela’s award, the fast-food chain have also released an advert titled “wing-wing situation”
“It is quite easy to get anxious about our current political situation, and hard to envisage a win-win scenario for all South Africans. But true to Nando’s courageous spirit Wings Roulette can get three opposing political parties to see the positives – a wing-wing situation for all of us!”
