Trevor Noah talks about his trip home to South Africa and his surprise meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa.

New York, America – The host of the Daily Show took a moment to chat with his audience about visiting South Africa and meeting President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The Daily Show’s “Between the Scenes” is an Emmy award-winning short-form series featuring Trevor Noah interacting with the audience when the show cuts to commercials.

“‘Between the Scenes’ has become this really cool way to connect with the audience on all kinds of conversations happening in the world. Sometimes it’s a continuation of something we did on the show, or something happening in pop culture — but it has the ability to touch upon more serious topics, or it can just be downright fun and jovial.”

In a recent episode, Trevor gave viewers the inside scoop about his recent trip to South Africa, meeting the President and being invited to visit Parliament.

“It’s one of the most surreal moments. It’s one of those things that you take for granted because it happens gradually in life, but I genuinely had to breathe a few days afterwards… and be like YO! You were in Parliament, and the President of your country was like, give a round of applause to Trevor Noah… he is giving back to the country, and we love him

And literally in that moment I was sitting there, and I was like god damn where is my history teacher now?”

We love Trevor and his incredible sense of humour!
