If you’re in Durban and don’t have plans this Sunday, why not consider throwing on your trainers, making a difference, and creating lasting memories with your beloved pet?
Durban, South Africa (10 September 2024) – Dogs bring joy and laughter into our homes, their playful antics and infectious enthusiasm brighten our days. And what’s a better way to bond with them (other than cosy cuddles) than taking a good old walk for a good cause?
The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) is excited to announce that its dog walk events are back.
A Family Trail Run & Dog Walk is set for Sunday morning, 15 September and promises to be a fun-filled day for pet owners and their precious furbabies.
“Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to get active, this 5km run or walk is perfect for everyone, including your furry friends,” AACL shares.
From rescuing to rehabilitation and rehoming, AACL is committed to caring for and protecting animals in the greater Durban area, working mainly in informal settlements and outlying, underprivileged areas.
By participating in the walk, you’ll not only enjoy a day of exercise and camaraderie but also contribute to AACL’s animal welfare mission.
The family and dog walk event will be held at 53 Artesia Avenue (D657), Leckhampton Valley from 7-11am. Entry fees cost R15 per person and all proceeds will go directly toward rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming efforts.
