After Life
Just WOW! This is possibly Ricky Gervais’s best work ever. Sure, he has thrown in his dry sense of humour and crude language but it is a truly touching and heartfelt show that addresses grief, depression and finding the good in life again. You will find this series on Netflix.
“If you’re a good person doing things you want to do, its the same as doing good”
The Kindness Diaries

The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind
Based on true events, this movie is based on a 13-year-old boy who is thrown out of the school he loves when his family can no longer afford the fees. He sneaks into the library and learns how to build a windmill to save his village from famine. He overcomes his adversity by innovating.
You will cry, but you will also be inspired by his drive to improve his village. A story that we see so often right here in South Africa and across the African continent. You will find the movie on Netflix.
The Girl From St. Agnes
Um… firstly it is Proudly South African, secondly, it is brilliant! The Girl From St. Agnes is about a popular girls death at school and how people try to cover up and uncover the truth.

Life opens up to her and she learns that she doesn’t have to fear everything. The movie is available on Showmax.
Beyond the River
The movie follows the life and struggles of two men from opposite sides of the track, one who is escaping a life of crime and the other escaping heartache.
