There are many artists who want to work with him and the latest one is Rihanna. During his interview on MetroFM, the talented DJ revealed a few pieces of information that are fantastic. Apparently, Rihanna’s team approached DJ Black Coffee and asked him to send in some songs for consideration. The team then returned and confirmed that RiRi had selected a song and wanted it to be produced by the SA DJ.
This was great news as DJ Black Coffee was supposed to work with Jay-Z and became overwhelmed by his musical status and fame.
“Swizz reached out and said Jay is looking for one song before he concludes his album. It freaked me out. I am in Milan, I couldn’t sleep. He literally called me: ‘I spoke to Jay. Jay wants a song.’ I couldn’t sleep. Then I didn’t work. I couldn’t. How do you produce a song for Jay -Z? He kept saying: Ýo, man. I’m waiting’. I think I failed him but subconsciously I think I wanted to. I wasn’t ready.”
With his Jay-Z moment behind him, DJ Black Coffee is looking up and collaborating with artists all over the world.
