Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. That’s why security teams and The Linden Meander are rallying to keep the porridge coming for over 60 learners at Casa do Sol school who rely on it!
Johannesburg, South Africa (10 February 2026) – When little ones start the day nourished, they’re far more likely to perform better academically, feel more focused and alert, and maintain healthy habits in the long run.
The Linden Meander, Beagle Watch and SCP Security have launched a donation drive in support of Casa do Sol – a school catering for learners with intellectual disabilities and special needs between the ages 6 and 21.
The school offers learners an encouraging, inclusive and understanding academic environment focused on life skills, functional academic training, and vocational skills. It provides specialised, individualised, and, when needed, small-group teaching environments that empowers learners to lead an independent life.
The school supports over 60 pupils with breakfast every morning.
Many of these learners come from economically challenged backgrounds. With the school also battling underfunding, the heroes who keep Linden safe, along with the community, are rallying to keep the school’s brekkie runs going, too.
“Just over sixty of these children are given breakfast on arrival at school every day, and this is where we ask your help please.” the teams share.
Throughout the month of love, the Linden community and surrounds, are encouraged to donate long-life milk and porridge toward the drive. Every bag or box of pap, oats, sorghum and mabela porridge will go towards a warm and nutritious brekkie that supports a young learner.
Those who wish to support are encouraged to drop off their donations at Potted Glass Studio, at Beagle Watch in Fairland or SCP Offices in Northcliff – doors are open 24/7 at SCP. Find out more here.
