A proudly South African “House Flipper” has hit 1 million views on his YouTube channel… and his renovations are flipping good too!

Johannesburg, South Africa (21 February 2022) – A Joburg House Flipper is gaining traction worldwide for his sense of style and creativity in taking “what was” and turning it into “what could be”.

You may know Daniel Baron for his incredible music, but it seems his brother – Stephen Baron – is quickly becoming well known too… for flipping houses!

The passionate South African started his YouTube channel in 2020 with the idea of sharing DIY tips for flipping a house, and even though he only has five videos uploaded, one of them has just hit 1 million views!

“Flipping a house involves buying a property with the express purpose of upgrading it and then selling it again to make a profit.”

He only has two “before and after videos” on his channel, but South Africa and the world cannot get enough of his incredible DIY skills and clever tips… and the profit made off the sale! Property “H” took 65 days to renovate, and after spending R2,158,000, Stephen sold the house for R3,300,000… making him R970,000 in profit!

“This is so amazing to see local flipping. We often are subjected to overseas flipping which has no relevance to South Africa. I’m definitely a new subscriber and thank you for willing to share your knowledge.” – Yumna Smith

“Absolutely stunning!!! So happy I came across this video!! I love HGTV and have always hoped that we’d see a realistic South African scenario comparable to the scale we see on international flipping shows. Thank you and well done for sharing the entire process, financial figures, etc. Really impressive that this was just a 65-day process!!” – SZG_Creativebank

“This is such a professional video, love to see the transformation but also your transparency. Things can always go wrong during the makeover, glad you’re sharing your experiences.” – Sanne V
