The Cluny Animal Trust is opening a new thrift shop in Fouriesburg because the need for one in the community is so great – they are preparing for the grand opening next weekend.
Kgubetswana, South Africa (28 June 2023) – Charity shops are a blessing for both the charity and those looking for a good deal. The Cluny Animal Trust thrift shop opens once a month in Kgubetswana, Clarens and it’s a hit every single time. The local community highly anticipates its opening each month. Now they are planning for a whole new shop in Fouriesburg too!
As Kgubetswana is so far from big city life, often the thrift shop will contain treasures that are not usually accessible. The Cluny team works hard to restock the shop with donated goods each month.
Now in even more exciting news, the Cluny Animal Trust has started preparing for a new shop which will be based in Fouriesburg. The shop is preparing for its grand opening which will be the weekend of the 5th to 7th of July 2023.
As winter is well underway, the shop is being stocked with useful winter essentials and treasures too.
“As all of our supporters know, we have a wonderful Thrift Shop in Kgubetswana, Clarens and we have been trying for ages to get one started in Fouriesburg, well next week on the 5-7 July 2023, it will be open (officially) for the first time!
Here is Jemina (who will be running the Thrift Shop) with Nico and Viney (Nico’s younger brother) getting everything sorted out and ship shape, we still have a lot to do but we will be ready in time.
And just in case you are wondering, no…we aren’t selling cute puppies! This is Aiden’s pup, Athena who in typical puppy fashion has to be involved in everything, so she was there just to check they were folding everything nicely and packing the shelves right!
We have had some really wonderful items donated, So, if you are in Fouriesburg next week, it is worth checking out as you never know what little treasures you might find!
If you would like to donate any unwanted but sale-able items to our Thrift Shop in Fouriesburg, then please do let us know”
The best part is that even though the shop is based in Clarens and now Fouriesburg, they welcome donations to a Johannesburg drop-off point too. The funds raised through the shop currently fund the diesel expense for the clinic’s generator. So every cent raised through the shop helps the community in return!
