Grandparents of junior choristers from The Grove Primary School in Claremont got the warmest surprise.
Cape Town, South Africa (23 October 2025) – Everybody has those days when what they really need is just a hug.
It doesn’t always have to be a hug, but it feels just as warm as one. Maybe it’s a phone call, a cup of tea when you didn’t even have to ask, or an extra dose of grace and kindness when you thought nobody could see you battling a bad day.
That’s what this performance feels like. At their recent eisteddfod, the junior choir from The Grove Primary School put on a special performance for their grandparents.
They sang Somewhere Only We Know by Keane.
It felt just like a hug.
The school first posted a short clip of the performance. It drew in over 34,000 views with many asking for the full performance. The school obliged – that’s what we’re sharing with you below.
