A new podcast guide to getting through lockdown from a South African couple living in China!
China (25 March 2020) – Kirsty and Oliver Boyes are two KwaZulu-Natal ex-pats living in Hefei, China where they moved to a year ago as Kirsty wanted some international teaching experience.
Since the outbreak of the Wuhan coronavirus – now officially named COVID-19 – they have been on lockdown, cooped up in an apartment complex with little to no contact with the outside world.
They are, without a doubt very brave people but what shines through is their strong South African courage as they wait out the virus far from home.
Kirsty and Oliver Boyes have walked this road over the past few months and will be sharing their learnings with us throughout South Africa’s lockdown.

“I like to imagine that the world is one big machine. You know, machines never have any extra parts. They have the exact number and type of parts they need. So I figure if the entire world is a big machine, I have to be here for some reason. And that means you have to be here for some reason, too.” ― Brian Selznick
