By adorning trees with vibrant pink fabric, the Pink Trees for Pauline annual campaign spreads pink happiness while raising funds to support cancer survivors and their families.
South Africa (19 September 2024) – Get ready for a wave of pink positivity to sweep across South Africa with the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA)!
To mark the 12th anniversary of Pink Trees for Pauline, in October communities all over the country will once again wrap trees in their homes and streets with vibrant pink fabric.
This annual initiative is a powerful symbol of hope for cancer survivors and a testament to the campaign’s impact on supporting those affected by the disease.
The funds generated are primarily used to empower families to care for palliative patients at home, provide medical equipment, and supply food parcels to needy patients identified by CANSA’s social workers.
If you have a tree, a shrub, a building, or a fence that needs a facelift, make sure to purchase your pink material at just R30 per metre and contribute to the well-being of the real heroes, the survivors of cancer.
Managing Director of Pink Trees for Pauline Adri Jansen van Nieuwenhuizen expressed how making a difference in cancer communities across the country has been CANSA’s core mission since its inception in 2012.
“With the added assistance of CANSA over the last six years, we are able to raise more funds for care and support programmes. It’s a real testimony to the South African spirit of resilience, strength, and tenacity,” says Van Nieuwenhuizen.
