Ahead of today’s official Bridgerton airing, Cape Town hosted a glamorous launch, where South African stars and international cast members showcased beautiful fashion moments.

Cape Town, South Africa (29 January 2026) – Bridgerton Season 4 officially airs today, making it a fitting moment to look back at how Cape Town welcomed the next chapter of the global hit. On Saturday, 24 January, the series was unveiled locally with an elegant Afro-couture masquerade at the Zeitz MOCAA at the V&A Waterfront.

Hosted by Bonang Matheba and Jonathan Boyton-Lee, the evening brought together local stars, international cast members, and a fashion-forward crowd that blended Regency-inspired drama with bold African design. The night also marked a major milestone for South Africa, with Masali Baduza making history as the first South African actor to join the Bridgerton franchise.

As the season finally makes its way to screens today, here’s a look back at some of the standout fashion moments from the Cape Town premiere:

Bonang Matheba

Bonang made a statement in soft pink, with feathery details adding texture and movement to a look that felt equal parts whimsical and glamorous.

Oh, so elegant, Masali’s purple ensemble was a masterclass in simplicity. Beautiful outfit, but it’s Masali’s historic casting that takes centre stage.
