Touching young lives in one of the most compassionate ways, are the volunteers of Samaritan Feet SA, who donate new shoes to underprivileged children with a unique focus on connection and compassion.
Helderberg, South Africa (27 September 2024) – Selfless service, particularly for children, demonstrates deep-rooted empathy and kindness.
The volunteers of Samaritan’s Feet South Africa embody the principle of selflessness, putting the needs of others before their own. Guided by their Christian faith, they boldly serve underprivileged children.
During the organisation’s Gifting Day initiatives, they spread a message of hope in a unique and selfless way.
The dedicated team rolls up their sleeves to wash children’s feet and fit them with a new pair of shoes, connecting with them through heartfelt compassion that is likely to stay with these children for a lifetime.
Samaritan’s Feet forms part of an international humanitarian organisation whose core focus is to serve impoverished children who don’t have shoes.
“When donating shoes to kids, we focus on connection. Because positive connection, both physical and emotional, makes an enormous impact on their lives.
“We spend time with them, washing and caring for their feet. We connect with their hearts, encouraging their hopes and dreams, and reminding them that their lives matter,” the organisation shared.
Inspired to protect and serve both the feet and hearts of the children, the NPO invites more people to join their upcoming Gifting Day outreach initiative.
