The Thrift for Good Market will see three fabulous days of sustainable shopping to support local charities:
Cape Town, South Africa (17 March 2025) — The Thrift for Good Market is just around the corner, and with it comes the chance to shop with intention.
From March 28 to 30, the community-driven market hosted by Blue Route Mall will welcome sustainable shoppers, nifty thrifters, and treasure hunters whose sprees will support three local charities: The Salvation Army, U-Turn and Help the Rural Child.
A three-day affair, the shopping spread is set to boast an array of pre-loved clothes, accessories and footwear.
Here, people, planet and purpose all exist under one gazebo.
Shopping pre-loved contributes to the circular economy (fantastic for a planet fighting over-consumption), while shopping pre-loved for charity doubles up on the good further by ensuring that the people who most need it benefit.

Get Involved Further!
You can further contribute to the goodness by dropping off pre-loveds of your own (clothing accessories, books, household items, and toys in the kind of condition you’d purchase them in) at the designated collection point over the market weekend. You can also spread the word to your community and help the event reach Capetonians from all over the city.
