The Love Life; Gift Life NPO is literally celebrating Valentines Day in the most loving and heartwarming way! By raising funds for organ donation awareness.

The Love Life; Gift Life Non-Profit Organisation was started in 2016 by a group of four friends that all received lung transplants, because of this fact this group of friends is very passionate about organ donation and raising awareness.

“Shaylene Perry, Alice Vogt, Fawn Rogers and Siobhan Scallan are all passionate about organ donation and want to heighten the level of organ donor awareness among the general South African population.”

The organisation shares Transplant stories from South African’s that have received organs from people who were registered as donors. Currently only 1% of the South African population are registered as organ donors, with so many people waiting for vital organs this statistic needs to change. Love Life; Gift Life also works to raise awareness about the lack of registered donors through talks, presentations and campaigns.

To raise awareness this Valentines Day the organisation is urging people to give their hearts to their loved ones, by sending them a Love Life; Gift Life ecard, but only while they need it, when they no longer need their heart it should go to someone else who really needs it more.

Gift Life

Love Life; Gift Life is also sending Valentines Day ecards to people who have had a donation made in their name. So instead of buying roses or chocolates you can help raise money towards Organ Donation Awareness by donating to the organisation on behalf of your loved one.

Love Life; Gift Life is happy to take any form of donation, whether that is to sign up as an organ donor, make a financial contribution or to donate your free time by becoming a volunteer. If you would like to get into contact and see how you can help the cause you can click here.
