Nakhane Touré and John Trengove have both landed international deals thanks to the praise of the new movie ‘The Wound’. The movie has already received awards and now Oscar buzz too.
The Wound is about Xolani, a lonely factory worker who joins the men of his community in the mountains of the Eastern Cape to initiate a group of teenage boys into manhood. An initiate discovers his secret and his entire existence begins to unravel.
Nakhane Touré plays the role of Xolani and his talent didn’t go unnoticed. Nakhane was signed with US talent service Paradigm Talent Agency. The agency represents acts like Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons and Coldplay so it is a massive accomplishment.
Nakhane sets off on his new journey very soon with his first stops being the United States and the United Kingdom.
The movie’s director John Trengove also announced his deal with Creative Artists Agency. The agency is in Los Angeles and represents mega directors like Steven Spielberg.
