There are countless South Africans on a path that’s changing their lives; leading them further and further away from homelessness and vulnerable circumstances. This Christmas, MES is inviting everyone to give them a boost through the ‘Deliver Your Love’ campaign!

South Africa (28 November 2024) — Changing your life is a tough road. It isn’t straightforward, doesn’t come with a roadmap, and has many, many twists and turns. But those who have followed it through to the end know that it’s a road well-worth travelling; hurdles and potholes be damned. It’s a path that many people in South Africa’s cities are following and one that’s leading them further and further away from homelessness and vulnerable circumstances. Organisations like MES help smoothen the road. And this Christmas, MES is inviting all of us to help with a little kindness through the ‘Deliver Your Love’ campaign.

MES works with vulnerable urban communities; providing them resources that help empower people across all ages. Their mission is to drive social change that’s aimed at solving systemic poverty and homelessness, which happens through different programmes. For preschoolers, this means helping children receive quality education. For school-leaving youth, it means a safe place of belonging and career mentorship. For adults, it means rehabilitation support and safe spaces. And for families, it means social relief, nutrition and much more.

The Deliver Your Love Campaign will not provide a way out of tough circumstances. But it will add a little relief to people who are trying to reshuffle their cards. And a little relief goes a very long way. In fact, more often than not, it’s the extra can of food, the warm blanket, or the donated toiletries—the relief—that gives us the most strength to keep pushing forward.

As such, the campaign hopes to make spreading relief easier.

How to Deliver Your Love

  • You can choose a gift based on the much-needed items that each MES chapter has listed.
  • Order the gift online, choose your preferred delivery service or opt to visit a centre in person.
  • Spread the word that you delivered your love so that more people know how they can get involved.

Needs Lists

Each gift, no matter how small, is a note of encouragement. It says, ‘someone you don’t know is looking out for you, and can’t wait to see you reach the end of your path; beaming with your new life’.
