Imagine getting to say you gave someone the gift of a happier and healthier childhood this festive season. Well, St Joseph’s Intermediate Paediatric Care is running a special Christmas Wish Campaign that hopes to achieve exactly that!

Cape Town, South Africa (10 November 2024) – Imagine getting to say you gave someone the gift of a happier and healthier childhood? This holiday season, Cape Town-based St Joseph’s Intermediate Paediatric Care has one wish at the top of their list: for more people to come together and make a difference in the lives of chronically ill, underprivileged children children in their care.

For these young patients, the magic of Christmas doesn’t lie in the gifts you can unwrap but rather in the life-changing support they receive from the caring clinical teams at St Joseph’s.

Supporting St Joseph’s this season means supporting comprehensive care to children from vulnerable communities. This includes medical treatments, therapeutic sessions, and emotional support, all provided at no cost to families so that their children have a second chance at a healthy childhood.

For many children who are discharged from the hospital but still require medical attention and intervention to heal and recover, going home is not an option. This is the space that St Joseph’s lovingly fills.

For as little as R100 (the cost of wrapping paper and festive cards), you could ensure a child receives healthy, delicious meals for an entire week.

Those wanting to make even more of a meaningful difference can choose any of the below options as part of St Joseph’s Christmas Wish Campaign:

  • WISH 1R100: Provide nutritious meals for a week for a child.
  • WISH 2R300: Fund physiotherapy sessions to improve a child’s mobility.
  • WISH 3R500: Supply essential medical supplies for a month.
  • WISH 4R1000: Cover a full week of holistic care, including medical, emotional, and therapeutic support.

Donations can be made via the St Joseph’s Intermediate Paediatric Care here.
