Olivia Farinha demonstrated extraordinary compassion by taking part in the Cape Town Cycle Tour to directly benefit abused, neglected, and abandoned cats and dogs.
Cape Town, South Africa (19 March 2025) – A Grade 7 pupil had raised thousands for animals in need!
A determined Olivia Farinha took part in the recent Cape Town Cycle Tour, pedalling through an intense 109km and raising an amazing R20,044 for Domestic Animals Rescue Group (DARG).
DARG is a pro-life, non-profit organisation that rescues, cares for, sterilises and re-homes previously abused, neglected and abandoned cats and dogs.
The animal welfare organisation also provides a crucial service for the lower-income communities of Imizamo Yethu, Hangberg and the greater Hout Bay area – affording many doggos and kitties a chance at a wholesome life.
DARG was moved by Olivia’s heartfelt gesture to undertake an arduous physical feat, especially at such a young age, for the benefit and well-being of defenceless furry friends.
“What an outstanding achievement! Olivia, you truly are an inspiration for so many. Your determination, energy and love for animals is incredible. Thank you from The DARG Team and all our animals in the shelter,” DARG thanked.
You’re never too young to step out to do some good for those who could really do with the kindness and light you have to offer. Thank you for being a brilliant example of this, Olivia!
