R.A.D shared a stunning photo of Shadow, a retiree looking for a home to spend his remaining months, and our hearts are so full!
Somerset West, South Africa (25 October 2021) – Rescue Animal Drive (R.A.D) shared a post about an old dog they have taken into the care; Shadow is looking for a loving retirement home.
Sadly Shadow was given up to make space for a new puppy. R.A.D took him in, and while the vet shared he has bad hips, Shadow still has a vigour and a bit of a skip in his step. The team at R.A.D have placed him in a foster home until they can find him a lovely home to spend his final months.
“Shadow’s hips are not great, but when we took him outside at the vet, he really had such enthusiasm we have to see if we can give him a bit of the good life. Thank you, Winks, for fostering him, so he doesn’t have to stay in a vet cage.”
They are looking for a loving home where Shadow can indulge; they need the following from future adopters.
“If anyone has space for an old man for the last few months of his life please email nixrsa@gmail.com. He is about 13 years old and fine with dogs, cats and kids. He is honestly the easiest dog to have around – he is always happy and likes to lie in the sun and have an afternoon brushing session and is not a greedy guts! He would make a lovely companion for a homebody who doesn’t want a demanding dog.
He is in Somerset West, WC. He cannot travel out of the province.”
