Kaveshin has his heart set on making a difference! Even though he didn’t get to finish the Two Oceans Half Marathon as he’d hoped last year, he is now lacing up his running shoes once more to support the Groote Schuur Hospital Trust.
Cape Town, South Africa (26 March 2025) – If at first, you don’t succeed… You try, try again! This encouraging quote accurately captures Kaveshin Naidu’s journey and determination to run a race he’s determined to complete this year while supporting the Groote Schuur Hospital Trust.
Last year, Keveshin attempted the Two Oceans Marathon and raised an incredible R50,000; however, he didn’t complete the race within the required time.
Not content with not being able to tick off this feat from his bucket list, this year, Kaveshin is planning to go even harder, all for the Groote Schuur Hospital Trust.
The Trust is the fundraising arm of the public hospital, working in collaboration with its Facility Board, Hospital Management and key stakeholders to identify the most pressing needs that do not fall within the allocated yearly operational budget of the Hospital and enable pioneering world-class healthcare for all.
“I am attempting the half marathon again with a renewed sense of determination and commitment to conquer the current and enjoy one of the most beautiful running routes that our country has to offer,” shared Kaveshin.
When throwing the towel is so much easier to do, we’re inspired by Keveshin’s determination to go after his personal goal while simultaneously contributing towards the demands of our public healthcare system.
His goal is to raise R5,000, and he has already gone beyond that! Every cent raised will make a huge difference. You can support his great cause on GivenGain.
