Local publisher Imagnary House has been shortlisted for the ‘Best Children’s Publisher of the Year’ award at an international book fair!
Cape Town, South Africa (27 March 2025) — In big news for books made for little humans, a Cape Town-based publishing house has been shortlisted for an exciting award—‘Best Children’s Publisher of the Year’!
Imagnary House is thrilled to have been shortlisted.

The boutique publishing house focuses on bringing children’s stories (fiction and non-fiction) into the world and especially to Africa. Running since 2015 after being founded by Brad Harris with leadership from Alison Harris since 2018.

The Bologna Children’s Book Fair celebrates the many facets of creativity that bring children’s stories to life—from writers to illustrators, literary agents and teachers, it’s 61 years of experience have helped unite the creatives from all over the world through the power of storytelling. Around 1,500 exhibitors from 90 countries and region are expected to attend the 2025 session taking place from 31 March to 3 April in Bologna, Italy.
