It started 3 weeks ago… Jasmine Mulholland, a South African put on a onesie and started dancing to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.
The rest as they say… is history! The video was shared thousands of times, and a new South African video star was born.
The beautiful Mulholland is no stranger to South Africans, she was featured as one of the first “Home Grown Honeys” in the early days of FHM and is also married to Mr Legacide Richard Mulholland but apparently her dance moves are what we should all be talking about.
Mulholland shared the first video 3 weeks ago but never thought that it would reach the amount of people that it did. After watching it once, it’s easy to see why people are loving it! It’s just so feel good.
“I just wanted to make people smile, laugh and feel good… if my dancing video did that, then my job is done!”
South Africa’s newest video star was inspired to create the post after meeting Jo Hazelhurst Ntsebeza.
Ntsebeza is an executive, relationship life coach and team building facilitator with 20 years experience in assisting people to experience profound changes in their lives and relationships.
She is the founder and director of Kalavati & The FreshStart Bootcamp whose mission it is to teach people how to make healthy decisions that will allow for personal and global transformation.
“The methodologies I use in coaching, training and facilitation, research and evaluation incorporate a wide range of participatory techniques.”
“People will only act on, or out, over issues they feel strongly about. So the methodologies do not focus on content and goals alone. Instead they draw on the intentions, emotions, knowledge and experiences of participants and clients – encouraging them to bring awareness to their own experiences, patterns, power, imagination, will, conscience and wisdom to make decisions and move forward.”
One of the techniques is a weekly “feel-good” task that is featured on The Kalavati group, which is what inspired the videos.
“Every Friday I involve myself in a challenge that is well worth the work! Be the right kind of lunatic! And by “right” I mean AWESOME!”
Take a look at the first one… we promise it will make you smile and maybe even get you in a Onsie doing your own dance, to your favourite song!
Mulholland, made a decision a while back to unsubscribe from any and all bad news… and this has led her into a space where her social media is filled with good news, optimism and all those great videos that the internet has to offer.
What I don’t think Jasmine realises, is that she is creating so much happiness with her own “feel-good” videos. In the words of our incredible new video star… Be happy. Be bright. Be you.
She has only uploaded 2 videos… but her following is impatiently waiting on the third. Check out the one below and then comment on what song she should do next!
