Some small heroes, still fighting the biggest fights, are stuck in hospitals alone right now… still reaching for their dreams!
Johannesburg, South Africa (7 April 2020) – This week on the Good Things Guy podcast, we chat to the Reach for a Dream foundation about how they are still helping children during the lockdown, and how you can too!
Many things have changed as we pause our lives to fight the virus. The world is facing an unprecedented time.
The virus has to date infected over 1,2 million people globally, resulting in more than 69 000 deaths as of Monday the 6th of April, leaving more than two billion people around the world in some form of lockdown or self-isolation. With over 1655 cases of coronavirus recorded in South Africa as of today, there is no denying that the statistics surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic can feel overwhelming, but in the face of immense stress and trauma.
On top of that South Africans are strapped for cash, and in turn, many of our charities and NGOs are suffering for it, but one charity has found a way to bring help to the kids they look after with a simple social media post!
Julia Sotirianakos, CEO of the Reach For A Dream Foundation has joined Brent Lindeque on the Good Things Guy Jacpod to chat about the foundation, COVID-19 and how they are planning for unlock down day.
2019 was a big year for the JacPod podcast series, and especially Good Things Guy… with a growing weekly audience that has seen the channel climbing to No 2 in South Africa on Apple Podcasts.
There are millions of amazing shows around the globe. Humbled and honoured to stand side by side with some of the biggest names in the world. Thank you to everyone who listens & supports the show. It makes my heart incredibly happy to know that the work I do, matters.
