8-month-old Kelly was walking with her owner Nicole when she chased after a mountain biker and got lost, thankfully SAN Parks rangers were on hand to help.

Camps Bay, South Africa – Nicole Dawson was walking her 8-month-old puppy through the scenic Table Mountain forests on the Camps Bay side when a mountain biker came speeding past. Her puppy Kelly was enthralled by the biker and sped off after him.

Nicole chased after Kelly but lost sight of her and became panicked. She called out after Kelly but didn’t see any movement. Distraught, Nicole shared Kelly’s information on social media and asked that anyone in the area, please keep an eye out and call her if spotted.

The next day, Nicole received a call and was alerted that Kelly was spotted on the hiking trail near Wood Head Close. SAN Parks rangers set up a team to help Nicole search the area.

By one o’clock that afternoon the team had found Kelly. Nicole was thrilled to be reunited with her adventurous little pup. She thanked everyone who supported her through the stressful time as well as thanking Hilton from SAN Parks who brought the team together to help with the search.

“Today we found Kelly at 13h00 in Wood Head Close up the mountain trail, since our search began when she bolted from The Glen Park on Chilworth Ave, Camps Bay this past Sunday 28 April 2019.

Thanks to everyone who has shown their support on social media and in searching on foot for Kelly. It has paid off!

A BIG shout to Hilton at SAN Park for organising the relentless search for Kelly in the mountains and for the guys at tactical response who trekked up the mountainside in search of Kelly. The support has been amazing!”

Take a look at the pleased crowd below, shortly after finding Kelly, who seems to be more than a little happy with herself.
