Three SANRAL employees have restored our faith in humanity with a simple act of kindness!
South African National Roads Agency Limited – better known as “SANRAL”‚ or those-guys-who-brought-us-e-tolls have really got a bad reputation. And with most news reports about the agency, we can see why.
Just recently OUTA released a scathing report which stated that SANRAL overpaid almost R10 billion rand on the e-tolls project… which they are now trying to claim back from the public… eish.
But jus yesterday, a Joburg resident posted a different story about SANRAL, one which is inspiring South Africans by making them see a different side to their employees.
Sharron Dingle & her husband found themselves waiting on the side of the road in Rivonia late last night with a flat tyre. To make matters worse, their spare tyre was also flat which meant they were left stranded waiting for their insurance company.
“My husband and I had a tyre blowout by the Rivonia off-ramp. We were pretty shaken and to make it worse our spare tyre was also flat. We were waiting for the insurance to send someone and the Sanral guys arrived.”
The SANRAL team saw the couple in need and offered to to take the flat tyre to the garage and get it pumped.
“They did so and we’re not even gone 5 Min and even had the spare checked for any possible air leaks. What amazing guys and all done with a smile. I want to thank Christophel Mbonane Abram Hlongwane and George Mdaka.”
“Today you absolutely restored our faith in humanity and our beautiful city.”
“I hope Sanral apprectes you three. Keep up the great work.”
