American Talk Show host Seth Meyers just shared the happy news of his son’s birth and the crazy story of how it all happened in their building lobby. Get your tissues out!
Seth Meyers’ wife gave birth to their son in the lobby of their apartment building. Seth went onto his show to explain how it all happened and in-between all the laughter, he made us cry with the amount of love he has for his wife.
His wife, Alexi, went into labor so quickly on Sunday afternoon, that she gave birth to their baby boy in the lobby of their apartment building. Their neighbors brought them warm towels for the baby and a member of the New York City Fire Department had to cut the umbilical cord.
Seth was in the process of feeding his first son some lunch when Alexi rushed into the kitchen to inform him the baby was coming. The couple get everything together and has Alexi’s sister come over to watch their son while they went off to the hospital. They got onto the lift and thats when it all started happening.
“We get into the lobby of our building. I have called an Uber. The Uber is outside,”
“And we basically get to the steps of our building, we’re in the lobby and we’re walking down the steps, and my wife just says, ‘I can’t get in the car. I’m going to have the baby right now; the baby is coming.'”
Seth tried to keep her calm and insisted that she was fine, but she really wasn’t! The baby started to crown right there in the lobby. They had no other option but to give birth right there in front of the elevator.
Seth went on to thank everyone involved and as he did so, he got choked up and that’s when we started crying. What a story! Watch the full story below. It’s hilarious to start and incredibly touching.
