Krugersdorp, South Africa – Marianke Saayman shared a post about the hero that helped her sister during an awful night. Her sister was stopped at the Krugersdorp highway offramp when she became the victim of a smash and grab. It was a terrifying moment and left her stranded without a way to call for help.

Luckily, Richard Kewna Modikwa was nearby and saw the entire ordeal. He quickly drove over to offer her some assistance. He passed her his phone and told her to call her family.

Richard stayed with her until her family arrived to help her. Marianke was so moved by his efforts to make her feel safe; she shared the story on social media and gave Richard’s business a shout-out.

Richard runs his own transportation company, doing airport transfers, shuttles and several other on-wheels services. Marianke knows her post will create hope and confirmed that there are still angels around South Africa willing to go the extra mile to help.

“Thank you Richard Kwena Modikwa for helping my sister tonight. She was a victim of a smash and grab at an offramp next to the Krugersdorp highway. Kwena saw the men run from the scene, he stopped his taxi and gave my sister his phone to call for help. He also waited with her next to the road until help arrived. There still are some angels out there. Thank you Kwena”

She shared his company’s info in the hopes that she could repay his great deed with some new business. You can find his info on her post here.

There are thousands of people just like Richard in this world. Thank you for always going above and beyond to make South Africa the great place it truly is.
