Geralt the Ginger was rescued from a township after being abandoned twice; he is looking for his forever home where he can finally settle in.

St Francis, South Africa (20 January 2023) – Geralt the Township Ginger has been twice in his just three years on this planet. The loveable, fuss free cat is currently in foster care, waiting to find his forever home. The St Francis Animal Rescue is doing everything they can, to find him a family to love.

The St Francis Animal Rescue was founded by a group of volunteers in 2016, who wanted to address the problem of growing number of animals in need. They started by running a sterilisation drive and getting spaza shops to stock R5 bags of pet food and have grown over the years to make a real difference in St Francis and Sea View.

Geralt is one of the many animals rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed. While his case, he is needing to be rehomed again. The team hope that by highlighting his story, a kind soul might connect with his story and adopt him.

“A record of 99 shares and 9619 people reached, yet our twice abandoned township ginger still has no home.
Thankfully he is in foster care with Sue Olsen for now, and he has been dubbed “Geralt”. He will however need a home before 12 February.

Geralt is a sweetheart, loves people, chilled, used to dogs, cats and children. He will easily fit into any household. He is so fuss free and all he needs is a little love and food to be happy. Three years old and neutered.”

If you are in the Eastern Cape and looking to add some extra love to your home, Geralt could be the one you are waiting for! You can reach out to the team via Facebook here for more info on his adoption.
