South Africans are coming together to support the victims of the Vaal Tornado after a call to action was issued, showing their best side as always!

 

Emotions are high as people flock to assess the damage caused by yet another tornado in South Africa.

Over 300 people have been displaced and left homeless after a tornado hit the Vaal Marina in Gauteng on Monday, 11 December.

Houses broke apart as roofs flew off from the gale force wind, leaving homes completely cleared of possessions and necessities.

Some people have lost everything.
Residents from the Vaal have quickly come together to help those less fortunate, who were greatly affected, who are in need or urgent attention after such a devastating storm-plagued parts of Gauteng.

This is a call to action to every South Africa who has the capacity to contribute toward change and help many in need of aid and assistance.

  • Toiletries and Sanitary Ware
  • Plates, Cutlery
  • Medical Supplies

The municipality is assisting displaced residences with temporary shelter. Two help centres have been set up in Mamello and the Vaal Marina Town Hall to assist those affected by the tornado.” – Midvaal Mayor Bongani Baloyi

The devastation is heartbreaking, and we can only do our bit to help those who feel helpless, and support those who feel lost.
Emergency Services are on the scene attending to the community and those injured by the storm.
