A beautiful story between strangers about a “sisterhood of a travelling wedding dress”, is reminding us that sometimes the internet isn’t so bad.

South Africa (03 January 2023) – At first, Emily Heath said no when she received a random Instagram message from a South African stranger asking if she would be willing to sell her wedding dress.

But then she thought about how happy her dress made her on her wedding day and how she wanted to share that feeling with another person, so she agreed to “loan” it to her as long as she sent it back.

Next thing, the dress was shipped to the UK to the bride-to-be’s mom and then hand-delivered to Simone Crouch (née Goosen). And it fitted perfectly.

Heath wasn’t expecting an invite to the wedding either but accepted, and had the best time in “Africa”. It’s a memory she’ll never forget, and the entire experience is a beautiful reminder that sometimes the internet isn’t so bad.
