Jodi Fittinghoff shared her recent experience at Woolworths on Facebook and it’s the best act of kindness imaginable! A staff member absolutely made her day!
Jodi Thal Fittinghoff recently posted a compliment to the Woolworths SA Facebook page, in the compliment she describes the amazing and unforgettable customer service she received on a very special day, that day was her birthday!
Jodi is a regular at the Woolworths Norwood Mall branch and a few weeks prior to her birthday she was in the shop. Happy to see that there would soon be an addition of a Woolies cafe she approached Thato, one of the female staff members working nearby, to ask when the new cafe would be opening.
She was advised by Thato that the cafe would be opening on the 23rd of March 2017.
“oh what a perfect date” I said “as that is my Birthday”.
On the day of the opening, Jodi was at the mall doing some shopping and she decided to pop into the Woolies and get a few things, that is when the most amazing thing happened! She posted the following on the Woolworths page,
“Today is 23 March and I happened to go do some shopping at the newly opened store- which is totally awesome and worth a visit!!!!”
“Whilst paying I hear someone singing Happy Birthday. I looked up and it was Thato, that same lady staff member and she was singing to ME!”
Jodi was absolutely blown away by the kindness that Thato had displayed towards her.
“I was totally amazed and humbled by her remembering our conversation and remembering me and my birth date!”
“That is a pure example of going the extra mile!!! I immediately asked to see the Manager as Thato deserved recognition.”
After speaking with the manager and complimenting Thato’s brilliant customer service and act of kindness, Jodi stopped in at the cafe.
“I walked out the store and whilst waiting for a few minutes in the coffee shop, Thato came rushing up to me with a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates!”
“This is one birthday I will always remember thanks to Thato and the Norwood Mall Woolworths branch! Thank you for making my day even extra special!”
