A local feeding scheme spotted two young boys in worn out shoes and broken clothing so two women collected new clothing and gave the boys a makeover!

A Johannesburg feeding scheme and charity, ‘Charity Begins With Me‘, feeds around 400 children every Sunday. Two young boys attended the day in broken shoes and damaged clothing. This immediately struck the heartstrings of Michelle and Susan Weedman.

The pair made arrangements to collect clothing and shoes to help appropriately clothe the young boys for the coming winter.

“Last week these two boys showed up with torn clothes and broken shoes. Today they each got a fantastic makeover with new clothes, shoes and a cool new backpack. Thank you Michelle and Susan for making this possible!!” – Stephan Ferreira, Charity Begins With Me Founder

The young boys were showered with new warm clothing including warm gloves for their hands and closed shoes for their feet.

Stephan has decided to continue this initiative at the weekly feedings and has asked people to donate any old and unwanted clothing.

“We will continue with this initiative so if you have ANY old shoes and clothes you no longer need PLEASE get in touch via SMS or WhatsApp – Stephan 072 5933 866”
