Liam Prime is using every run and cycle session to bring hope and help to young Nyakallo during his medical journey.
East London, South Africa (19 August 2025) – Grade 12 Stirling High learner and Peak Performance athlete, Liam Prime, has found a way to turn his love of sport into something truly extraordinary. On Thursday, 24 July 2025, Liam discovered an opportunity to use his training miles to make a real difference in someone’s life.
Using every kilometre he trains to make a real difference in someone else’s life. Over August and September 2025, Liam will cycle 1,600 km and run 500 km, all to support Nyakallo Mazibuko, a young boy facing a critical medical procedure, needing a life-saving stem cell donation.
Nyakallo and his family are preparing for a long and challenging recovery, with weeks in hospital followed by months of check-ups. With the procedure set to happen in Pretoria, this journey comes with many uncertainties, including transport, accommodation, and daily care while he recovers. Liam’s initiative aims to lighten this burden and offer hope through the power of community support.
The young boy has already shown immense bravery, navigating severe health complications, including a serious allergic reaction to a blood transfusion. Liam’s challenge turns his own athletic dedication into a tangible way to help, transforming each kilometre he completes into meaningful support for Nyakallo and his family.

Liam will be posting weekly updates every Sunday evening from 10 August 2025, tracking both the kilometres completed and donations received. These updates will keep supporters connected to the journey, celebrating each milestone along the way.
This is a cause that shows how small actions can create big impacts. Donations of any size are welcome, and every contribution helps Nyakallo get the care he needs while showing him that he is not facing this fight alone.
Liam proves that sport can go beyond personal goals; it can bring people together and create hope where it is needed most. By turning training into a purpose-driven challenge, he is inspiring others to see the power of action.
Support the journey and make a difference here.
