South African rhythmic gymnast duo Chade Jansen and Stephanie Dimitrova claimed a clean finish at the recent 19th Senior African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships.
Cairo, Egypt (06 May 2025) — South Africa’s gymnasts have made us proud once again with the latest landing of good news hailing from Egypt. Rhythmic gymnast duo Chade Jansen and Stephanie Dimitrova represented South Africa at the 19th Senior African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, where they walked away with a proud podium finish.
The gymnast duo competed from 2 – 3 May, with each finishing second overall at the Championships, meaning they return back to South Africa donning new silver thanks to their performances in Cairo! Stephanie and Chade were the only two to represent South Africa for this slate of the African Champs.
Stephanie also won the bronze for the All-Around Competition at the Championships, as well as the individual ball clubs and hoop competitive stretches!

The latest achievement marks yet another notch of success on the young gymnasts’ belts. Hot off the heels of showcasing her skills in another part of the world, Dimitrova recently competed at the International Gymnastics Federation—FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics Sofia World Cup held in Bulgaria in early April. Meanwhile, Chade Jansen was the Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior Olympic All-Around Champion (North West)!
