Walkers, runners, cyclers and ‘tryers’, this one’s for you! The Christel House Virtual Fitness Challenge is for anyone who likes to keep it moving and thinks the idea of securing nutritious meals for students in need is the best ‘medal’:

South Africa, (17 August, 2023) — It’s almost time for Christel House South Africa’s Virtual Fitness Challenge, and whether you’ve been meaning to hit the gym on Monday for the past few years or are dedicated to fitness in every aspect—you’re invited.

Walk, run or cycle for Christel House—the choice is up to you. The Virtual Fitness Challenge is more about trying than anything else and everyone gets an incredible ‘medal’—securing nutritious meals for young students in need.

The Virtual Fitness Challenge runs throughout September, so you can participate anytime from 1 September to 30 September.

Meet Christel House

Christel House is a non-profit, no-fee school serving students from under-resourced neighbourhoods in Cape Town and providing them with 19 years of comprehensive support (Grade RR to Grade 12 and five years post-school) through character-based and career-focused education.

The main criterion for admission to Christel House is not evidence of talent – but evidence of poverty. The school’s holistic approach has achieved wow-worthy results, with a proud lineage of accomplished alumni.

Christel House has also achieved an impressive 99% matric pass rate since its inception, showcasing the school’s dedication to academic excellence. Furthermore, a commendable 93% of its graduates are employed, studying or doing both.

Meet the Virtual Fitness Challenge

Individuals, businesses, and communities are invited to participate in this exciting initiative which rallies the active community to raise funds for the school’s essential feeding programme which ensures that students receive two nutritious meals and snacks each and every school day.
