The countdown to A*Pop* just got a lot more exciting. Tyla has dropped “Is It Love”, giving fans another glimpse into the album set to arrive later next month.
Global (18 June 2026) – Tyla has officially dropped her brand-new single, “Is It Love” and fans are already declaring it the anthem of the season. Social media lit up within moments of its release, with one comment summing up the collective excitement perfectly… “IT’S AN A*POP SUMMER”.
The track is the fourth single from A*Pop, Tyla’s highly anticipated second studio album, which is set for release on the 24th of July 2026.
Over the past few years, Tyla has achieved what many artists only dream of. She took a distinctly South African sound, blended it with R&B, pop and her own unmistakable style and introduced it to audiences across the globe. Her debut album, Tyla, became a defining moment for her career and also for the growing international appreciation of amapiano-inspired music. That success sparked a whirlwind few years. There were international tours, sold-out performances, major award wins and the release of a deluxe edition that delivered fan favourites like Push 2 Start. In 2025, she also released WWP (We Wanna Party), a four-track project she described as a bridge between her debut era and whatever came next.
Now, that “next” has arrived.
Speaking to Rolling Stone earlier this year, Tyla opened up about how much she has changed since recording her first album.
“Me being in it, I feel so different to how I felt during the first album… I’m just excited for my new one that’s coming this year. Just to see how different it is… like, what’s this Tyla now?”
She went on to explain that the shift comes from personal growth and life experience.
“I’ve been through stuff. I don’t know, I feel like a woman. I’m 24… I feel like a woman.”
